The RAST
PRIMED's own build of the Running-based Anaerobic Sprint Test — 6 × 35m maximal sprints with 10-second recovery. Measures peak power, average power and fatigue index.
Enter body weight to calculate power output.
How the test works
Mark a 35m straight course. On the triple beep, sprint through the finish line at maximum effort — tap Finish the instant you (or the athlete) cross the line. A 10-second active recovery follows automatically, then the next sprint begins on the next triple beep.
Repeat for 6 sprints total. Go all-out from the start on every rep — pacing yourself produces a worse score.
Your results include peak power, average power, minimum power and a fatigue index — how much your power drops off across the 6 sprints. Lower fatigue index = better repeated-sprint ability.
This is a maximal effort test. Warm up thoroughly first, and don't test alone if you're pushing to your limit.
