How the pacing cues work
Same shuttle as the real Bronco Test: 20m out-back, 40m out-back, 60m out-back per set, ×5 sets (1200m total). But instead of running flat out and hoping, this version paces you against your target time.
Your target is split evenly across the 5 sets. Since the 20m+40m return (120m) and the 60m return (120m) are exactly the same distance, the halfway point of each set's time is exactly when you should be finishing the 40m return and starting the 60m. You'll get a cue at that moment telling you how many seconds you have left for the 60m return — then another cue to start the next set.
Run it a few times at your goal pace and the rhythm starts to feel automatic — that's the point.
